As you would be aware the New South Wales Computer Education Group and the Computing Studies Teachers Association, NSW have been working towards creating one technology association for New South Wales over the past two years. We are pleased to announce that this new association is now a reality.
The overall goal is to take the best of both the NSWCEG and the CSTA and make use of these qualities in the new entity, ICTENSW, which stands for Information Communication Technology Educators of New South Wales.
To achieve this goal, the NSWCEG is de-registering and has resigned its affiliation with the Australian Council for Computers in Education (ACCE). The CSTA has renamed itself and updated its Constitution to broaden its appeal to various sectors of educators making use of ICT in an educational setting. As of October 18, 2010, ICTENSW has represented ICT in NSW at the national level through ACCE.
Below you will find a membership form for the new body. We strongly urge you to join the ICTENSW to ensure that NSW educators who have an interest in ICT have a strong and vibrant professional association.
The first Annual General Meeting of the ICTENSW will take place at 10:30am at Tara Anglican School, Masons Drive, North Parramatta, March 12, 2011. We would like to urge you to attend and to help make the new association as strong as possible.
Thank you for your support of the NSWCEG in the past and we look forward to your continued involvement in your new professional association.
