Need useful information on integrating Macintosh Computers with non-Mac computers then mosey over to MacWindows.com. Look at the etymology of mosey- very interesting, reminds me of ravel or was that unravel ... select and right click.
And for the folks who have a penchant for Netware get a copy of Integrating Mac with eDirectory. It's a bit old but has some useful information in it. Another site of interest is at [1]

A good but small set of links on AD-OD integration.

Fast and Faster with a caboose in tow
The Macbook Pro is an already very fast machine out of the box. Here is how you can drain the battery even faster.
0. Install Snow Leopard 10.6 and get the latest update.
Faster
1. Enable the Second Core using an experimental System Preferences plug-in on the Install Disc in the XCode Tools section. Didn't know that one core is just sitting there doing very little? The switcher-on-erer is called "Processor" and it's simple and intuitive. Not sure about its effect in speeding things up - because its hard to tell- twice as fast for most things at this speed seems like the same speed -- damn fast.
It's interesting to note that even though 64 bit Dual Core processors have been around for some time - they have usually been running in 32-bit mode and usually single core. All software vendors have to do to gain a noticeable speed bump is to run the system in native 64 bit and turn on the second core. Easier said than done because of the hardware driver issue. On a Mac you only appreciate the difference (between fast and faster) when you need the grunt, as in video rendering in say Safari and iMovie.
Something to try at your own risk (although I suspect, mostly it will be only to drain your battery even faster)
3. Swap over to the 64 bit Kernel - run as much as possible in 64 bit mode (this is mostly seamless), but you will need to carefully select application updates that enable 64 bit mode. 4. Swap over to using the 9600M GT GPU - Go to Energy Saver Panel in Systems Preferences and select Higher Performance. You will need to go through a restart.
Each change is very easy to undo. Now sit back and don't blink too much!
If you want to really impress someone, find a speed fiend with a PC. Ask him (it's usually a him) to watch... Do a cold boot, to a user login, then a restart to a user login and then a shutdown. Depending on the laptop (or desktop) machine they have, watch their eyes either glaze in disbelief or envy.
the caboose
When updating to Snow Leopard, to save a lot of grief, install Rosetta to enable many PPC applications to be run seamlessly. Many complaints about incompatibilities are from people not doing this. It must be selected because it is not automatic. For example I am able to run AppleWorks 6.2.9 as a double click application from SL 10.6.1 without any difficulty- including cut and paste etc. Even though I use iWork 09, I still like and use the separate draw/paint tools in AW6.
