Stopping DET passing username to Terminal Server

Background

If you have setup a terminal server through DET portal and are not on the @DET domain, you may find it passing on your user.name@det login details very annoying.

Fix

1. From “Administrative Tools” open “Terminal Services Configuration”

2. Click “Connections” on left and then bring up properties for “RDP-tcp”

3. Select Logon Settings tab and select “Always use the following logon information”

4. Leave the logon fields blank and click OK.

Now when you connect to your terminal server by DET portal you will not have the user.name@det auto filled in.
